We will have our OPEN DAY at the Connemara Pony National Stud, this is your opportunity to come and visit us and see our Stallions, our yard, see our performance ponies, visit our Audio Visual visitor centre room with lots of Connemara Pony memorabilia, see our Old Forge, see how we do things here, plus much more.

 

We are busy planning another exciting day at present and we will update as soon as we have all the plans in place, so if you’re planning a trip, Save the Date!

There will be music, dancing, refreshments and Connemara Ponies!

Our Open Day is coming up on Sunday March 19th at 2pm.

We have a bumper line up planned for the day with lots of special guests and all are welcome to join us, come along and meet and greet friends – old and new, and bring a friend or two, bring your dancing shoes too as we will have music (and dancing) and refreshments also on the day. 🎶🎤

 

Special Guests include:

 

🔸Father Christy McCormack, Breeder and Judge, who will give an official blessing.

 

🔸Our Centre Vet; Dara Larkin D.V.M. – who will tell us all how to prepare your mare for the Breeding Season ahead.

 

🔸Jessie Hill – Precision Equine Dentistry – the importance of looking after your equines teeth.

 

🔸Shirley Jones Nutritionist with Top Spec – will discuss diet and feeding.

 

🔸Equine Agent Padraic Heanue – Connemara Pony Ireland – with more than 20 years managing the Connemara Pony Sales at Clifden he will discuss sourcing/selling ponies, and the market.

 

🔸Judge, Stallion Custodian & Breeder- Jimmy Canavan, Fernville Stud and owner of the great “I Love You Melody” will talk to us about Breeding, breeding lines and the future of breeding.

🔸Robbie Fallon and Michael Harty from CashelBay Stud on Showing and Performance; ever wondered how long it takes to get a pony ready for HOYS/Dublin/Clifden??

How did they know the pony had what it takes to make it to the top?
