Silver Shadow the Connemara Stallion was removed without authorisation from the home and yard of Vet Philip McManus, where he was standing at stud for AI, on Sunday evening Jan 31st, at approx 6pm.
A large scale search and investigation ensued involving An Garda Siochána and friends, family and members of the community on Sunday evening, sheds, stables, fields etc were searched.
Monday morning a social media campaign to #findshadow was launched, and the information was shared all over Ireland and Europe, the post being shared thousands of times.
At approx 12 noon Monday 1st Feb, Shadow was located in a large empty unused warehouse, safe and well.
